About the Job
Our client, a dynamic and growing public accounting firm, is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant (CPA) to join their team. This remote-first role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of complex business tax returns while collaborating with a supportive team of professionals.
Position is 95% remote, occasional travel (1-2 times a month) to their office in Grand Rapids, MI, will be required.
*Must live in Michigan

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review complex business tax returns (1120, 1065) for private clients.
- Provide expert tax planning and advisory services, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Oversee and review junior staff's work to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage start-to-finish tax preparation for both individuals and businesses.
- Collaborate with leadership and team members on projects to meet client deadlines.
Qualifications:
- CPA designation (required).
- 3+ years of experience in tax preparation and review, with a focus on business tax returns.
- Proficiency in UltraTax CS (Thompson Reuters platform) is required.
