About the Job
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review individual, fiduciary, exempt, corporate, and partnership tax returns in compliance with federal and state tax laws.
- Calculation and preparation of personal and business estimated Federal and State tax payments.
- Developing tax and financial strategies and implementing them accordingly
- Communicate with clients and staff to ensure timely deliverable reviews of financial statements with a focus on tax law compliance and profit maximization.
- A strong commitment to professional education and remaining current with the business environment and tax law changes.
- Interpret, investigate, prepare and respond to correspondence from the IRS and other Taxing Agencies.
Qualifications:
- CPA highly preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the preparation and review of Federal and State tax returns.
- Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) industry experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team environment
- Software knowledge - Tax Software; Microsoft Suite of Products; Lacerte is a plus.
- Ability to successfully work in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on delivering results to achieve client satisfaction.

- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
