Senior Tax Associate - Remote

A well-established public accounting and advisory firm located in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to their As a Senior Tax Associate you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, adhering to tax regulations, and providing expert guidance to clients and junior staff. This role is primarily focused on tax-focused services but will also support other services as needed.  This role is a full time remote opportunity that will offer up to 110K base plus bonus and offers outstanding benefits.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Assist in the preparation of individual and business tax returns.

• Assist in the preparation of individual and business tax needs, such as estimated payments, extensions, select form preparation and other items.

• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.

• Research tax issues and stay updated on tax law changes.

• Provide verbal and written explanations and summaries of tax issues to colleagues and clients

• Assist with process evaluation and design.

• Assist with technology evaluation and selection.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in tax or financial accounting services.

• Proficiency in accounting software and (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.

• CPA, EA or other professional certification
