Hire Resolve's client, a leading CPA firm, is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join their team. As a Senior Tax Manager, you will be responsible for providing tax compliance and advisory services to corporations and/or partnerships. The firm serves a diverse range of clients, from Fortune 100 companies to emerging businesses.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with firm leadership, serving clients and contributing to the growth and success of the business. You will also play a key role in mentoring and coaching a team of talented staff, helping them develop their technical and professional skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide various federal tax compliance and consulting services to industry-specific clients.
- Consult on technical matters and special projects in areas of corporate and flow through taxation, accounting methods, and ASC740.
- Research tax matters, respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries, and make recommendations to clients.
- Coordinate with specialty tax practices on complicated tax matters in areas such as state and local, high net worth, international, research and development, and credits and incentives.
- Manage client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met.
- Develop and execute a business development plan, including networking and building strong relationships internally and externally to acquire new clients, projects, and revenue.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Juris Doctorate, or Tax LLM.
- Completion of necessary education hours to be eligible for CPA or EA licensure.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting services in a professional public accounting firm.
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates.
- Superior analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills with proficiency in US GAAP and tax consulting and compliance.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including project planning and time management.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a complex team environment.
- Willingness and ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites.
- Must be authorized to work in the USA.
