Northwest Talent Solutions is partnering with a leading advisory, tax and assurance firm in the private industry to recruit a highly talented Senior Tax Manager for their Flow Through team. Job Summary:
As a Senior Tax Manager, you will be a valued business advisor delivering industry-focused tax advisory and compliance services to middle market clients. You'll work closely with firm leadership to serve clients and build the business, having a direct impact on the firm's success. Additionally, you'll mentor and coach talented staff, utilizing your expertise to develop their technical and professional skills.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide federal tax compliance and consulting services to industry-specific clients
- Lead client relationships on day-to-day tax matters for various clients ranging from startups to middle market companies
- Consult on technical matters and special projects in corporate and flow-through taxation, accounting methods, and compliance
- Research tax matters, respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries, and make recommendations to clients
- Coordinate with specialty tax practices on complicated tax matters
- Manage client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met
- Network and build strong relationships to acquire new clients, projects, and revenue
- Support the growth and development of team members through mentoring and coaching
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or law, or a similar degree in business (Master's or advanced degree desirable)
- CPA or JD required
- 8+ years of experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting services in a professional services firm
- 5+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates
- Demonstrated management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills
- Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred
