Senior Technical Accountant and Analyst at KBW Financial

KBW Financial has partnered with a global company to identify a Senior Technical Accountant and analyst. The role is a blend of working on technical accounting issues and analysis and budgeting.  This role is ideal for public accounting backgrounds with technical accounting experience - offering exposure to a variety of complex GAAP / IFRS matters impacting the business. Additional details include:

• Responsible for ongoing monitoring of business activities against defined triggers and compliance requirements
• Coordinate directly with financial planning, financial reporting and finance operations to drive continuous improvement for the business
• Manage the design, development and maintenance of technical and complex accounting transactions and financial reporting
• Responsible for supporting the build out and standardization of common financial reporting standards across the full end to end process
• Develop and execute broad reaching and business-related accounting policies and analytics for related end to end process area.
• Key contributor to drive the overall financial performance metrics roadmap
• Create Budgets and forecasts
• Monitor financial transactions and recommend changes to accounting guidance and transaction structures appropriate.
• Analysis of multiple complex problems at the underlying process level, including research of accounting standards and documentation of position papers. 
• Drive and support adherence to accounting standards (GAAP / IFRS) as part of developing and managing an effective financial reporting process 

Requirements:

• BS in Accounting or related
• CPA preferred
• Knowledge of GAAP IFRS
• Advanced Excel
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma preferred
• Ability to research technical accounting issues
• Experience with interpreting new accounting standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong communication skills - both oral and written
