Position Overview:
Are you interested in working with semiconductor manufacturing equipment? We are looking for someone to provide on-site customer support for the installation, repair, and maintenance of photolithography semiconductor equipment, primarily in Hillsboro, Oregon. Initial training will be provided in Austin, Texas, Hillsboro, Oregon, or Japan for a duration of 1-3 months.
This role requires a full-time commitment at your designated office, worksite, or territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure equipment operates within factory standard specifications.
- Train customers on the operation and upkeep of the equipment.
- Act as the company's representative for assigned projects, including installations and major component replacements.
- Independently and collaboratively perform complex repairs and maintenance according to factory procedures.
- Offer technical support, addressing questions about operation procedures, equipment malfunctions, and other issues to minimize downtime and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Identify and report equipment errors and performance issues to assist in troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Maintain detailed documentation of activities and provide regular reports.
- Conduct training sessions for customer personnel to ensure effective service and operation.
- Collaborate with other field technicians to troubleshoot and service equipment.
Qualifications:
- This is a customer-facing role and requires adherence to customer policies and protocols, which may include COVID-19 vaccination and other related measures.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience (e.g., technical training, military experience, or technical school) plus 5 years of relevant experience is required.
- Required knowledge or experience in optics, lasers, software, robotics, precision mechanical skills, or chemicals.
- Preferred knowledge of Linux operating systems for system operation and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on mechanical skills and experience with electronic testing tools are essential.
- Ability to work independently on equipment and as part of a team under challenging conditions.
- Additional experience or knowledge in optics, lasers, software, robotics, precision mechanical skills, or chemicals is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer support experience is advantageous.
Must be willing to travel and work flexible schedules.
