Overview Mastercard’s Data Center & Network Services team is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Writer with expertise in Network, Data Center, Audit, Compliance, and Standard Operating Procedures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining technical documentation that supports our network and data center operations, audit controls, compliance processes, and standard operating procedures. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-started with strong attention to detail and analytical skills. They must also have the ability to translate technical concepts into clearly articulated documentation that can be easily understood by auditors, leadership and engineers alike. Role • Develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, audit controls and process documentation. • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed. • Analyze information required for the development or update of policy, procedure, and form documentation. • Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency. • Create user manuals, how-to guides, and reference documents for both technical and non-technical audiences. • Conduct usability tests to refine documentation and ensure it meets user needs. • Maintain version control of documentation and manage documentation projects from initiation to completion. • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in all documentation. All About You (Qualifications): • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field. • Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in the network and data center industry. • Strong understanding of audit and compliance processes and standard operating procedures. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly content. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. • Preferred Skills: • Experience with network and data center operations. • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to audit and compliance. • Proficiency in technical authoring tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, or similar. • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and markup languages such as HTML and XML. In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
