Who we are looking for / Requirements:
Our client is seeking a Senior Telephony Solution Engineer to join their team and support the end-to-end delivery of Contact Center Voice Technology solutions. You will help develop and execute against our Interactive Voice Response (IVR) and Auto Dialer design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. Relevant years of experience can be considered in lieu of education.
- Availability: Able to respond within a 4-hour period if needed and can be available 24/7.
- 7+ years of experience with call center technology, including Avaya, Alvaria, Noble, LiveVox, or similar telephony platforms.
- 5+ years of experience with Avaya Communication Manager, with preference for versions 5.2.1 and above.
- Preferred Avaya certifications: ACA, ACIS, ACSS, ACS, ACE, or ACSA.
- Hands-on experience with Avaya servers, such as S8300, S8410, S8500, S8700, and S8800.
- Demonstrated experience with Avaya SM (Session Manager), SMGR (System Manager), and SBC (Session Border Controller).
- Proficiency in the installation and configuration of Avaya systems.
- Strong understanding of Avaya architecture and design.
- Design experience with Avaya Unified Communication products.
- Experience with additional Avaya appliances, including Avaya Aura Messaging, Avaya CMS (Call Management System), and Avaya OneX Agent.
- Excellent customer service skills; highly motivated and a self-starter.
- Thorough understanding and experience in troubleshooting Avaya issues.
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. Relevant years of experience can be considered in place of formal education.
Performance Objectives / What you'll be doing:
- Resolving issues with Avaya systems on-site.
- Supports voice engineering initiatives for both project-related and ongoing operational support for voice communication services.
- Implements and troubleshoots enterprise voice-related solutions, incidents, and system outages.
- Responsible for day-to-day tasks, including adds, moves, changes, and user troubleshooting.
- Maintains awareness of system maintenance, outages, and world events that could impact IT operations.
- Monitors ticket queues to ensure customer tickets and service requests are addressed promptly.
- Monitors, reviews, recommends, tests, and implements new software revisions, feature sets, patches, and conducts periodic system refreshes.
