Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understanding Workday HCM Modules (Core HCM, Compensation, Advance Compensation, Absence, Time, Payroll, Benefits, Learning, performance, and Recruiting) requirements and test processes
- Understaning of Workday Integrations, Workday Reporting, Prism, Workforce Analytics, and People Analytics functions.
- Workday Adaptive Planning knowledge is preferred.
- Develop and execute identified test scenarios and test cases for Workforce Analytics Reports and Dashboards
- Testing Workday business processes End-to-End from recruit-to-retire
- Follow QC Testing Process
- Perform defect identification, reporting, and management
- Determine verification methods, pre-test reviews, and collaborates during test planning and execution with test team
- Plan & coordinate for timely availability of the test data & environments
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with project teams, test teams and support partners across US & India
- Ensure that all posttest execution wrap up activities are conducted for projects per procedure / requirements
- Important: Ability to handle multiple tasks and to work independently as well as in a team setting
- Identify & drive the improvement opportunities in the QA space
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with the other QA & non-QA teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to partner with business, HRIS teams including technical and non-technical at all levels
Desired Knowledge:
Desired Experience
- Experience with the Workday ecosystem including both technical and functional aspects of Workday, specializing in Workday Prism Reports and Dashboards, integrations, generic Workday Reporting, HR Core, Recruiting, Security group and Business process
- Excellent in SQL and data analysis skills
- Proficient in HCM modules like Core HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Staffing, Recruiting, Payroll, Security Groups, Absence Management, Performance, Learning, Recruiting, Talent Management and Time Tracking.
- Experience working on either Oracle Fusion HCM, PeopleSoft HR, JD Edwards or E Business Suite
- Have excellent knowledge of integration skills to Test Design and execute in various tools like PRISM, Workday Studio, Core Connectors, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIBs), Web Services, REST APIs, RaaS APIs, WSDLs, Payroll Integration Common Output File (PICOFs) or Payroll Effective Change Interface (PECI)
- Strong understanding in End to End Workday business process testing
- Having knowledge on Adaptive Insights, PRISM, Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIBs, PICOFs or PECIs
- Strong Experience with web service integrations (SOAP, WSDL, XML, XSLT)
- Excellent report writing skills in executing reports in all types, Advanced, Matrix, Workday Report Designer (BIRT), Dashboard, etc.
- Ability to understand HCM Workday load data Conversion loads
- Experience in System Integration, Regression and End-to-end testing HCM Applications
- Workforce Management, ESS and Client and Security set-up for HR
- Must have Understanding and testing experience on Workday Recruiting
- Experience using Genie Workday Automation Tool is preferred
- Must have an understanding of the limitations and opportunities presented by Workday HCM
- Advantage if candidate has Workday Security knowledge
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum/Waterfall development process
- Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices
- Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met
- Good SDLC, Agile Testing, Automation, Test Driven Dev methodologies
- Defect Management tool HPQC/ALM
- Proficiency in defect triage calls
Nice to have
- Experience working on Workday Automation Tools (Genie, Kainos Smart)
- Enterprise Automation Robotic Process Automation, Workflows Automation Preferred
- Automation Testing knowledge preferred
- Ability to take an active, visible role in supporting change efforts
- Ability to proactively identify opportunities for cost-savings and efficiency improvement
- Lead and mentor QA team members, as well as manage outside contract testers
- Good understanding of data warehouse and ETL process; and related testing processes
- Good understanding on Batch processes and related testing
- Excellent in SQL and data analysis skills
- Excellent in MS excel and other MS office applications
- Automation Scripting Experience QTP, Selenium, ETL Validator or similar toolset
- Testing Certifications Ex: Workday, HCM Applications, ISTQB, Automation Certifications and Oracle Certifications etc.
