Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage transportation engineering projects from conception to completion.
- Develop and implement design standards and specifications related to transportation projects.
- Conduct site development and geotechnical investigations, including soil and foundation analysis.
- Work closely with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met.
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in transportation engineering.
- Ensure all work is in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and engineering standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation engineering, with a focus on site development and geotechnical engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Proven experience in managing and leading transportation projects.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, including site development and geotechnical engineering.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex transportation challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Proficient in the use of engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Commitment to health and safety, and compliance with engineering standards.
