Responsibilities:Provide departmental support in the Distribution department.
- Support Distribution activities on a daily basis under the direction of Distribution operation management
- Accurately receive large volumes of freight to be checked against a manifest for product count
- All pieces verified individually for inventory control in Rewards Progam
- AS/400 data entry of all inventory in Rewards Program
- ID and LOT Location labels to be created and attached to EVERY piece
- Daily shipments to be staged, picked, packed and palletized; then scanned into AS/400
- Arrange shipments from our dock to final consignee
- Customer service and follow-up on all order processing, OSD, POD’s etc.
- Maintain pricing summary during the shipment processing for months end total
- Pick, pack and ship orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Ensure quality and quantity of orders is complete and correct
- Complete required documentation to record process, movement of goods, training, etc.
- Safely and efficiently operate the appropriate forklift while assisting in loading, unloading, or stocking freight as required
- Support additional departments/functions as appropriate
- When time allows, assist Warehouse Department with their duties including loading/unloading trucks, on-handing freight, screening, etc.
- Follow all safety and compliance guidelines
- Maintain a clean working environment to ensure safety
- Collaborate with others to ensure teamwork and customer satisfaction
- General business support functions as assigned
- Basic knowledge of routine warehouse practices and procedures
- 2+years’ experience in warehouse, distribution or industry experience
- Good communication skills– listening, providing and receiving feedback
- Ability to follow instructions
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate or significant or relevant or appropriate working experience
- Ability to frequently stand, bend, twist, reach, lift, push, pull, carry heavy objects in a warehouse setting.
Organization Relationships
- This position will interact with all levels of employees at the branch, including colleagues, leadership staff, and office personnel.
Work Environment
- This position requires physical demands to include, but not limited to standing, walking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, and carrying heavy objects repeatedly.
- Warehouse environment may be noisy and subject to varying temperatures.
- Will work alongside drivers who are moving pallets on different types of forklifts
