About the role, Your Impact
Baxter & Woodman’s Infrastructure Department has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer to provide innovative solutions that make a positive impact on local communities and the environment. We offer a wide variety of interesting assignments to solve problems and enhance the lives of our neighbors. This position focuses on managing water distribution and wastewater collection system projects serving Midwest clients. Come join our team in any of our Chicago, Crystal Lake, Mokena, or Naperville, Illinois offices.
What your day-to-day will look like
- Manage pipeline study and engineering design project.
- Lead preparation of design documents (Plans, Specifications, Estimate of Probable Costs).
- Prepare permit applications for local, state and federal agency approval.
- Monitor project performance (Client Satisfaction, Project Schedule, and Budget).
- Attend Client Agency meetings to present proposed designs, answer questions, and coordinate work.
- Provide technical guidance, quality control reviews, and mentoring of the project team.
- Assist in preparation of proposals and agreements (Project Approach, Staffing, and Fee Development).
- Develop and enhance client relationships and business growth.
Education/Certification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois.
Must-haves, what you will bring
- 8 + years related experience in management of water and wastewater projects.
- Strong written, verbal, computer and organizational skills.
- Ability to prepare design plans and specifications, write reports, and business correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
- Member of professional and technical societies.
- Valid driver's license.
Compensation: The pay range for this role is $95,000-$115,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
