SEO Content assistant - Employ Africa Group

This role involves reviewing AI-generated blog content, ensuring that on-page SEO elements meet our optimization standards, and assisting with updates to website copy across landing and product pages.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, be familiar with SEO best practices, and have a basic understanding of content creation processes.

Expected responsibility

Review and edit AI-generated blog content for quality, coherence, and SEO compliance.

Cross-check on-page SEO elements (meta titles, meta descriptions, headers, internal links, etc.) against the SEO checklist to ensure optimization.

Collaborate with myself and the team to implement copy and text changes on landing pages, product pages, email marketing, social media content, and other web assets.

Proof and optimize email marketing and social media copy to ensure consistency, clarity, and alignment with brand messaging.

Assist in maintaining up-to-date website content to align with current SEO strategies and brand messaging.

Provide feedback and suggestions for improving content and on-page SEO performance.

Desired skills

Basic knowledge of SEO principles and content optimization.

Familiarity with SEO tools like Google Search Console.

Strong attention to detail and excellent editing skills.

Ability to work collaboratively.

Basic understanding of content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Shopify) for copy edits.

Basic understanding of Google sheets and other project management tools is a plus.
