The General Laborer is responsible for removing nonferrous and non-metallic commodities
from conveyor belts and placing them into the appropriate bins. The General Laborer ensures
conveyors are clean of debris build up prior to production, as well as general cleaning of the
separation facility. Duties include picking out materials from conveyor belts, cleaning the
recycling yard, and depositing recoverable materials into chutes or conveyor belts. This career
requires the ability to perform basic math, and the ability to work independently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Remove materials such as trash, wood, paper, or plastics, from the conveyor
belts and deposit into appropriate chute.
Clean recycling yard by sweeping, raking, picking up materials and debris, or
moving barrels and bins.
Deposit recoverable materials into chutes or place materials on conveyor belt.
Conduct general cleaning and sweeping operations as assigned.
Other job duties as assigned.
