Compensation: $14.50 tip out Location: Salt Lake City International Airport Role and Responsibilities Position Summary: - To deliver the guests food and beverages following the Brands core Steps of Service. Works in assigned restaurant location as determined by management.
- • Responsible for the proper use, care, and maintenance of the dish machine. Required to keep a clean and adequate supply of dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans for the restaurant following the Brands specifications in a timely manner while maintaining the safety, sanitation and security of the dish room and equipment. Works in assigned restaurant location as determined by management.
Responsibilities: - Ensures that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining company standards, solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service
- Demonstrates knowledge of server sections, table numbers and seat numbers for assigned restaurant
- Answers all guest questions or finds appropriate answers for guests
- Demonstrates knowledge of all menu offerings and gives detailed descriptions of each item
- Ensures guest satisfaction
- Prepares hot and cold drinks and mixed non-alcoholic drinks as needed
- Assists other servers as needed; is aware of and alerts other crewmembers of customers needs
- Adds additional garnish and condiments per specifications to dishes prior to being delivered
- Runs food as needed on an ongoing basis
- Performs duties of barista and food preparation as needed
- Washes glassware and performs general cleaning duties as directed
- Maintains a clean and orderly station in the kitchen
- Maintains a clean and orderly dish station
- Assists in expediting food from the kitchen when necessary
- Aid in moving and installation of beer, wine, and cocktail kegs
- Prepares ingredients for cooking, including portioning, washing, chopping, and storing according to MCA and Brand specifications and restaurant directions
- Washes, peels, cuts, slices, dices, and portions specific food and menu items as directed
- Wears proper personal protective equipment when required (i.e. gloves)
- Determines when guests have completed their meals and removes dirty dishes, flatware, and napkins
- Maintains a spotless working environment, including tabletops, bases, chairs, banquettes, TV's, glass partitions, server stations, beverage stations, table set-ups, glassware, flatware, etc
- Assists kitchen staff as needed
- Participates in daily side-work tasks, including but not limited to stocking glasses, linens, flatware, and condiments
- Maintains knowledge of airport, terminal, and restaurants; offers information, recommendations, MCA and Brand history, etc
- Maintains a clean, neat, well-groomed appearance and adheres to all uniform and appearance guidelines
- Sweeps and mops as needed
- Performs other duties and side-work as assigned
- • Cleans, sanitizes, and organizes all kitchen and restaurant areas, including walk-in coolers, freezers, storage areas, floors, brass, and stainless steel according to MCA specifications
- • Transports dirty dishes to the dish room and transports clean dishes back to assigned areas
• Determines when guests have completed their meals and removes dirty dishes, flatware, and napkins • Sets up, runs, and empties dish machine • Cleans, sanitizes, and de-limes dish machine • Scrubs all pots, pans and trays in proper 3-bowl sink set up • Washes all items 100% clean the first time, every time • Restocks all cleaning products prior to running out • Maintains a clean, neat, and organized dish area • Cleans and maintains commissary prep area (utensils, prep table, prep sinks, equipment, floors, walls, and any back of the house area, etc.) • Communicates any product/chemical run outs, equipment issues, and quality and service issues to the MOD immediately • Aid in moving and installation of beer, wine, and cocktail kegs • Assists kitchen as needed • Stocks and organizes newly delivered items • Follows all company safety, sanitation and security policies and procedures • Properly uses personal protective equipment • Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to a MOD immediately • Maintain and care for company equipment according to instruction and manufacturer requirements • Communicate with others using clear, respectful, and professional language • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and work toward the goal of customer satisfaction • Assists other crewmembers as needed; is aware of and alerts other crewmembers of customers needs • Maintains knowledge of airport, terminal, and restaurants; offers information, recommendations, MCA and Brand history, etc • Maintains a clean, neat, well-groomed appearance and adheres to all uniform and appearance guidelines • Sweeps and mops as needed • Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the chef or MOD at any time
Qualifications - Demonstrated pleasant attitude and energy to ensure great customer service
- Professional demeanor, appearance, and communication skills in accordance with restaurant guidelines
- Basic serving skills ability
- Must have working knowledge of the restaurant floor plan
- Demonstrated ability to learn food and beverage knowledge and participate in training as required
- Ability to successfully pass all service, menu, and alcoholic drink testing for assigned concept at standards assigned by management within 2 weeks of completion of training
- Ability to work under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers and crewmembers regarding food and beverage orders and customer questions and concerns
- Ability to read menu offerings, product labels, register screen, pricing, receipts, safety procedures, and operating directions
- Ability to maintain a safe and clean restaurant for customers
- Ability to walk and stand for long durations
- Ability to do moderate to heavy lifting (25 lbs or less)
