As a Server at Senior Star, you’ll work in a senior living community that offers a five-star dining experience for its residents. It’s a very different environment from a restaurant, hospital or nursing home; a senior living community is a residential setting where residents live and where a team of associates work to provide them with exceptional experiences, services, and care.
- You will receive paid training as a server, including complete on-the-job training to learn and become confident in the skills necessary to provide exceptional dining service for residents.
- Daily, a server supports one or more mealtimes, serving breakfast, lunch, and or dinner depending on the community’s scheduled dining options. The dining rooms are open, in general, for breakfast starting around 7 am, lunch starting around 11 am, and dinner starting around 4:30 pm. Our typical dinner service ends at 7:30.
- Servers have the opportunity to participate in special events, work in multiple dining venues, and earn holiday pay for all major holidays worked.
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on providing excellent service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A compassionate and patient demeanor, with a genuine interest in working with seniors.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
