REPORTS TO: General Manager/Front of the House Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
The purpose of this position is to interact with our guests and ensure they have a great dining experience. Servers are expected to be attentive to every guest’s needs and make them feel welcomed, comfortable, important, and appreciated. Servers must be friendly and courteous at all times.
CORE RESPONSIBILITES
- Always displaying a positive Dreamland Image
- Maintain safe and sanitary work and dining environment
- Welcomes guests promptly and warmly
- Obtain drink and food orders utilizing suggestive selling
- Attentive and responsive to all guest needs, concerns, and questions
- If alcohol is served must check customers’ identification in accordance to ABC regulations
- Maintaining proper table settings and condiments
- Use the POS system to accurately account for the guests’ food, drink and retail orders
- Prepare and present customers’ bill and completing the transaction according to customers’ method of payment.
- Complete all side work and duties
AUTHORITY, RESPONSIBILITY & ACCOUNTABLIITY
- Is responsible for the satisfaction of all of our customers by being punctual, courteous, helpful, and providing high quality food and service
- Is responsible to understand and perform safe food handling practices as determined by Dreamland and local food and safety regulation agencies
- Is responsible to understand and implement “Dreamin’ Service Sequence to take care of all our Guests needs
- Is responsible for dealing with customer complaints, correct quickly, implementing our LEAP policy: Listen, Empathize, Acknowledge and Apologize, Pamper Guest and Fix Problem
- Is responsible to know when to get a manager regarding complaints
- Is responsible for maintaining a neat appearance and clean uniform
- Is responsible to assure that their station is clean and prepared at all times; being vigilant in keeping floors clean and dry
- Monitor Restroom cleanliness
- Is responsible to make sure all equipment is in good working order and that the Sauces are at required temperature
- Is Responsible to check their section for cleanliness and readiness
- Is Responsible to understand POS, cash handling standards and procedures
- Is responsible to follow Dreamland’s Safe Practice Guidelines
PREREQUISITES
Education: Must have a high school diploma or GED. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace. Requires basic math skills.
Experience: Is helpful but not required.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 25 lbs or more. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time up to 8 hours. Must be able to bend, kneel, lift tray over head. Must be able to work in a fast pace environment, handling multiple guests needs at the same time.
