Overview:
Hahira Huddle House servers will work as a integral Team Members with other servers, cooks and managers and will be responsible for greeting, taking care of wants and needs and providing outstanding service for every customer that visits our restaurant, designing their meal using pre-determined suggestions and serving fresh, quality, visually appealing and safe food. Additional responsibilities include prepping the server stations, preparing coffee and tea, making deserts, shakes and salads, dish washing, daily cleaning, maintenance and scheduled detail cleaning.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Willingness to report to work on time in a clean and proper uniform, wearing a smile, with a positive attitude and ready to extend hospitality, sell, serve, maintain beverages and clean.
- Willingness to maintain daily personal hygiene and cleanliness, men clean shaven or short, neatly trimmed beard, tattoos covered by clothing, hair pulled up, without excessive jewelry, makeup or extreme hair styles.
- Greet and Welcome every Customer with a sincere verbal greeting and a smile.
- Be able to enter customer’s orders into the Aloha POS System completely and accurately.
- Maintain 100% compliance with Huddle House and state and local regulatory Food Safety Standards, and service standards.
- Complete the Server’s Daily Checklist prior to or at the conclusion of each shift and prepare the unit for the next shift.
- Using the tools and materials provided, keep the restaurant clean , including but not limited to customer tables, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning the prep area, parking lot, restrooms and walls.
- Wash dishes and operate the dishwasher as needed and when there is not a designated Dishwasher scheduled to work.
- Bring Food Safety, overall safety, customer complaints and other items of concern to the attention of a member of the management team promptly.
- Know the complete menu, daily specials, Limited Time Offers, add-on’s and suggestive sell items according to the provided Server’s Training Guide / Manual and the Huddle to Go Program.
- Be aware of the Huddle House Steps of Service in order to maximize sales and serve customers.
- Maintain accurate “Server Bank” in order to make change for cash customers and process credit card transactions as presented.
- Account for all tickets, credit card receipts, coupons and make sure all orders are closed out prior to the end of shift.
- Carry out prepping and cleaning duties as assigned by the Manager on Duty.
- Maintaining clean and sanitary and conditions at all times.
- Support growing sales and operating profitably.
- Consistent execution of restaurant systems to maintain a clean and organized place of business.
- Ensure prompt, consistent and friendly delivery of safe, quality, visually appealing food to every customer, every shift.
- Maintain an attitude of flexibility that enables “above and beyond” performance.
- Perform all duties requested by the Shift Leader or Manager on Duty.
Desired Education / Practical Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED a plus.
- ServSafe Certification a plus.
- Leadership Ability a plus.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Successful quick service restaurant experience a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Unrestricted ability to bend and stoop as necessary
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time up to 10 hours
Compensation:
- Server minimum wage + tips that can result in significant income when Huddle House Service Standards and suggestive selling program are embraced and followed.
- 50% Meal discounts and free beverages within one hour before shift, while on duty and immediately following shift.
- Fully paid on-site training program @ $7.25 per hour.
- Uniform shirts and aprons furnished by the Employer
- Black socks, black pants (non-denim) and industry standard black, non-slip shoes required of the Employee
- Paid Vacation after one full year of continuous employment and based on the contingency of holidays worked; including Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve/Day when scheduled.
