YOUR MISSION (The Job Description):

The Server will play an important role in delivering outstanding guest service to guests by offering timely, efficient, knowledgeable, warm, and truly remarkable service. Listen, record, communicate and deliver food & beverage items based on requests, guest history, and preferences. Be enthusiastic and use your talents to sell our experience to our guests.

THE NITTY-GRITTY (The Essential Job Duties):

In helping you understand your role, the following is a list of your essential job responsibilities. Please keep in mind that this list is not all-inclusive and that you may be asked to perform other job tasks by your supervisors/managers not listed below in the constant quest to provide an "out of this world" customer service experience for our guests:

* Learn and retain food & beverage and menu knowledge

* Take and deliver food and beverage orders

* Notify the line chef of any dishes that are not properly prepared

* Use excellent communication skills with guests, staff including verbal, written and body language

* Perform side work duties daily and other duties as assigned

* Must be physically present at work, in assigned workstation, to perform all functions required of the position

* Execute fabulous guest service

* Prepare basic, non-alcoholic beverages such as coffee, water, iced tea, etc.

* Enthusiastically describe details of food dishes and beverages at time of delivery to guests

* Be a team player!

WHAT IT TAKES (The Qualities We Look For)

* Lift and carry 50 lbs., carry and balance plates, cocktail tray on a regular and frequent basis

* Stand for periods of 8-10 hours

* Familiarity with food, beverage, and wine service

* Knowledge of table service procedures and table etiquette

* Able to work in an environment that has varying levels of smoke, crowds, and noise the severity of which depends upon customer volume

* Work with others like a rockstar, while constantly advocating for your guests

* Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written English

* Comply with all safety and health department procedures, as well as all state and federal laws

* Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per hotel standards

* Bend, squat, and stretch in areas of limited space to perform cleaning, organization, and other duties

* Adhere to all policies including but not limited to attendance, safety, behavior

* Ability to cash handle and be responsible for payment transactions for your customers

MUST HAVE'S

* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

* Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately

* Ability to operate point-of-sale systems

WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE'S

* Previous experience as a server preferred

THE WORKING CONDITIONS

* Lift and carry 50 lbs, carry and balance plates, carry kegs, wine and beer cases as necessary

* Stand for periods of 8-10 hours

* Communicate clearly in verbal and written English

* Bend, squat and stretch in areas of limited space to perform cleaning, organization, and other duties

* Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of cold, heat, smoke, and sound. Incumbents are at times subject to hazards such as chemicals; proper safety precautions will be taken. This position occasionally works outside and is subject to all weather Proper clothing is provided
