Server Level 1 and 2 Engineers at The Peak Organization

Peak Systems is a leading Information Technology service provider for the nation’s top companies.

We are seeking skilled Server Level 1 and 2 Engineers to join our team and perform activities at our clients’ datacenters. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of server hardware, a meticulous approach to work, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Location: Breinigsville, PA 18031

Hourly Rate: $40+ based on Experience

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: project based, three to six weeks

Qualifications:

• Technical Skills:

• 2+ years of experience in supporting server environments including relocating, testing, and installing data center and networking equipment
• Experience with rack/stack and configuration of PowerEdge or similar server equipment
• Ability to follow Cabling Diagrams and configure iDRAC settings
• Able to perform physical installation and cabling of rack mounted servers and switches
• Able to read and understand rack elevation and cable matrix documentation
• Data Center Experience is a plus
• Cabling and labeling
• Solid understanding of server hardware components.
• Experience swapping drives from servers
• Experience with various server brands and models.

• Problem-Solving:

• Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve memory-related issues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Attention to Detail:

• Meticulous approach to work, ensuring accurate and efficient memory installation.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

• Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and are agile in manual dexterity (climb, stoop, etc.,) with or without an accommodation
• Must be able to work in a standing or seated position for extended periods.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately identify and swap drives on XE Servers
• Assist in troubleshooting hardware server-related issues.
• Provide accurate and timely documentation for reference.
