POSITION SUMMARY
The incumbent in this position is responsible for serving food and beverages in accordance with Casino Beach Bar / Drift standards.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Recognize guests immediately with a friendly greeting welcoming the guests and introducing themselves, describe daily food & drink specials, use of suggestive selling.
- Assist guests with beverages, demonstrating salesmanship with complete menu and product knowledge and continually upselling where applicable.
- Notify Kitchen Manager & FOH MOD of any food allergies prior to sending orders to the kitchen, or if food products are not properly prepared/plated.
- Ensure guest satisfaction through food quality checks and responsiveness to guest complaints, involving the Manager on duty of all issues.
- Maintain a well groomed neat and clean appearance, carrying out duties with attention to sanitation safety.
- Anticipate, identify and provide for guest needs.
- Perform side work duties on a daily basis and other duties as assigned.
- Work together with other team members, ensuring success for all.
- Understand the proper company procedures & health codes for dealing with guests with allergies, food sensitivities and illnesses.
- Competent in the procedure of opening a bottle of wine at tableside upon being ordered by a customer.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must have ability to:
- Transport trays and/or plates throughout the restaurant which may weigh up to 50 pounds, as well as serve food items and beverages.
- Review and comprehend necessary documentation.
- Take down orders, recite specials and point specific items out on the menu to customers.
- Stand through a 6-8 hour shift.
- Effectively and efficiently move throughout the restaurant and the kitchen area.
- Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers alike.
- Work in an environment that has varying levels of crowds, noise, and weather, the severity of which depends upon customer volume.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Familiarity with food, beverage and wine service. Knowledge of table numbers, table service procedures and table etiquette. Servers must remain current with serve-safe certification. These skills and abilities are typically acquired through two (2) years table service experience.
REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to the other duties described herein, each employee has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:
- Attend required training sessions offered by the Casino Beach Bar & Grille/Drift.
- Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Take the necessary steps to ensure minors/underage persons are not allowed to drink or loiter in restaurant areas.
- Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the employee’s department.
- Consult Policies and Procedures Manuals for guidance.
- Report suspicious activity to the appropriate levels of Management
