TYPICALLY REPORTS TO: Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Kitchen Supervisor, General Manager
STATUS: Part-time/Full-time Hourly
PRINCIPAL FUNCTION:
The server works as part of a team and is responsible for serving the clientele of Early to Rise restaurant. We expect all our staff to provide exceptional customer interactions and service.
The experience requirements and responsibilities of a Server include the following but are not limited to:
● Have three years of experience with handling food and beverage.
● Have three years of strong, good customer service.
● Possess strong exemplary table side service.
● Be able to follow detailed directions and job assignments given by the Executive Chef and General Manager and carry them out.
● Must be able to describe and serve all beverages.
● Knowledge of wine and wine service.
● Ability to learn, describe and recommend food menu items to customers.
● Must be able to lift merchandise and or equipment that weigh up to 25 pounds
● Must be able to take customer orders, input them into the P.O.S. system and deliver orders to customers in a reasonable timeframe established by the company.
● Ability to fill out paperwork properly, experience in tracking numbers while taking accurate inventory and good, basic math skills.
● Clean and restock area when needed.
● Must maintain a clean and safe work environment.
● Ability to interact well with co-workers in order to assure the high level of teamwork expected of staff.
● Must be able to assist in running food and drinks.
● Must be able to assist in bussing and resetting tables.
● Must be able to assist in supporting the front desk greeting and seating guests.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to exert well-paced mobility to maneuver quickly among different areas of the facility. Hours are often extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays. ● Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits. Food Handlers card, Responsible Alcohol Service Training, etc.
