About the Job
Essential Duties & Responsibilites
Make all guests feel comfortable by welcoming, greeting them, making eye contact, and thanking them for their visit.
Provide excellent customer service by guiding guests through Kasa s method of service, informing them of the daily special. Making
recommendations as needed. Answer their questions about our food (and potential food allergies), beverages, wine pairing, and other restaurant services.
Responsible for calling for Hot Food from the kitchen on time.
Take customer orders accurately and entering into Micros accurately.
Take phone orders for delivery and pick up.
Plate according to Kasa s specific portions, roll high-quality rolls that do not open at the ends.
Cooking rice in a timely manner
Making Making Lassi and Chai.
Assist with fulfilling catering orders.
Serve beer and wine
Perform any additional duties as assigned or needed, including but not limited to service station side work, maintaining a clean service area and assisting fellow servers and bus persons
Measurements of Success
Maintain an exceptional record of punctuality and attendance.
Make contact with customers including eye contact and communicate with them within 20 seconds of entering the restaurant to acknowledge their presence.
Obtained extensive menu knowledge including correct pronunciation.
Plates and rolls at high speed, ensuring quality control of food and keeping the line fully stocked.
Utilizes quiet times to deep clean and re stock.
Always completes checklists and follows Kasa s policies and procedures 100% of the time.
Ensure customer satisfaction 100% of the time.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age
Food Handler Certificate preferred, otherwise to be obtained within 2 weeks of the date of hire.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate in English is a MUST - as this is the predominant language of most guests.
Regularly communicate in a positive effective manner with our guests in a fast-paced environment
Maintain a well-groomed appearance per the Dress Code in the Employee Handbook.
Write in a legible manner
Maintain a positive, friendly attitude no matter your emotional state or that of our guests and
Ability to use a Point of Sale Device
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as our menu, safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Must be able to communicate in English well
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions including making change accurately.
Physical Demands

Ability to walk while safely lifting prepped food and beverages frequently weighing up to 30lbs.
Ability to work up to 40 hrs per week including overtime if needed. Ability to bend down to pick up supplies.

Regularly stand for prolonged periods of time over the course of an 8 hour day
Regularly walk, bend, stoop, use hands to finger, handle, feel or roll and reach with hands and arms.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to climb stairs.
