Server - Fields Senior Living at Spokane Valley

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Server: 

• Take and deliver residents food orders in a timely manner. Knowing the details of the menu and items within the food that may impact a resident’s diet restrictions
• Pour and serve beverages for residents, ensure hospitality bar is stocked and has fresh beverages. 
• Follow kitchen and dining room cleaning schedules. 
• Keep environment safe and clean.
• Observe residents for safety and report all changes in resident conditioneffectively,accurately,andinatimelymannerreport to Management team.
• Always observe and uphold resident rights
• Positively supports residents with emotional and behavioral issues
• Assistotherstaffasneededonthefloors
• Assistresidentstoandfrommeals, delivering meals to residents’ apartments and helping serve in memory care as necessary. 
• Performotherrelateddutiesasassignedbysupervisor

Additional Functions:

• Must be neat in appearance, pleasant personality, be congenial to fellow team members, residents, families and the public in general. Must be capable of using own judgement and initiative in daily duties.
• Demonstrates safe working practices at all times
• Maintains a professional image to residents and fellow co-workins in words, actions and in appearance
• Maintains confidentiality and privacy of our residents and staff at all times
• Relatetoresidentsinacourteous,empathetic,andcooperative manner
• Must be a mature individual.Must possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-pacedenvironment and perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on shortnotice.
• Must have strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize and meetdeadlines.
• Server mustbedetailandteam-workoriented.
• Must attend required in-services/ workshops to further education of skills andcommunityrequirements.

Qualifications:

• MustbeDrugfree
• Must be able to pass Criminal Background Check, Health Screening including TB test.
• Must be eighteen (18) years old.
• Maintains current first aid certification and food handlers. 
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret diet restrictions
• Ability to prioritize and organize assignments.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing in standard English. 
• The employee shall be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Fields Senior Living

Physical Demands and Requirements:

• Maintain ability to lift 50 pounds; to stand or walk throughout the vast majority of the workday; and to frequently push, pull, bend, twist and reach. 
• Mustbewillingtobeactiveandonfeetduringentireworkshift.
• Involves light to heavy physical activity performing non-strenuous and strenuous activities.
• Server must have sufficient manual dexterity to work with the fingers and to reach/hand items.
