Job Summary:

A Service Advisor Representative is responsible for acting as the main point of contact between customers and the service department.

Essential Functions:

• Listen to customers’ concerns and gather detailed information about their service needs.
• Explain service options, costs, and timelines to customers.
• Provide recommendations for additional services based on vehicle inspection results.
• Create and manage work orders for service requests.
• Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely completion of work.
• Schedule appointments and manage the service calendar to optimize workflow.
• Provide accurate estimates for services, repairs, and parts.
• Liaise between customers and technicians to ensure clear communication of issues and solutions.
• Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed for warranty and service contracts.
• Process payments and ensure customer satisfaction at the end of the service.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service orders, and payments.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy.
• Follow up with customers after service to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

Work Environment:

• This job operates in a service center, auto dealership or repair shop.
• This role routinely uses standard equipment. 

Physical Demands:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• It may involve some physical activity, such as walking around the service area or occasionally assisting with vehicle inspections.

Required Education/Experience/Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; some positions may prefer additional technical training or certifications.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service, sales, or a related field.
