Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join us as a DHHS Service Area Administrator for the Northern and South-Eastern Service Areas. Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in public/business administration, social behavioral sciences, program evaluation or organization/management analysis and proven experience in a managerial capacity with responsibility for work load assignment, budget preparation and implementation, employee performance evaluation, community relations building, program analysis/ evaluation, or policy development and experience working with diverse community groups and building consensus.
Preferred Requirements: Master's degree in social work, public administration or related field and progressive supervisory, management, and leadership experience. Experience leading teams to effectively comply with outcomes and regulations. Experience in public speaking / providing presentations. Experience working collaboratively with community partners, legal systems, and families in a complex environment.
Other: Valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation.
Hiring rate: Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Knowledge of: scope and impact of the operations administered and their relationship with programs, functions and organizations both inside and outside the agency; mission, goals and objectives of the agency; organizational structure, functional relationships and administrative processes; principles and practices of administration including planning, organizing, staffing, and budgeting; techniques of policy/program research, planning, and evaluation; applicable state and federal laws and administrative regulations.
Ability to: develop and foster community relationships; effectively perform short and long range strategic planning for the allocation of human and technical resources in a complex environment; be responsive to changes in direction, priorities and values of the agency's mission and strategy; analyze organizational and operational problems and develop timely, economical and effective solutions; provide leadership in the Service Area by defining objectives and coordinating the efforts toward attaining goals; establish and model high performance standards characterized by integrity; earn trust and respect of others by coaching, inspiring, and empowering teams to achieve strategic objectives and continuously bring new and innovative ideas into the organization.

What you will do as a Service Area Administrator:
- The Service Area Administrator (SAA) is responsible to plan, organize, direct
- and lead child welfare in their assigned service areas.
- The SAA confers with key local officials, stakeholders, tribal leaders, agencies, and other community groups to foster working relationships, develop sustainable community resources, and achieve outcomes for adults, children, and families.
- A key component of the SAA's role is to ensure federal and state outcomes are met in the areas of safety, permanency and well-being for children and adults served in the Northern and Southeast Service Area.
- The SAA will establish goals for their assigned service area and in conjunction with their assigned leadership team, will delegate, assign and plan work activities to achieve those goals.
- The SAA shall guide their administrative team to ensure consistent application of administrative and program policies, procedures,and standards.
- The SAA will provide leadership and cultivate relationships with other administrators and supervisors to harmonize overall operations.
- Serve as a coach and mentor to management and staff to encouragegrowth and improve teamwork and effectiveness of the entire service area.
- The SAA will develop and implement continuous quality improvement at the service arealevel to evaluate performance relative to program goals, objectives, an service delivery.
