The Service Asset Manager is responsible for managing the acquisition, maintenance, tracking, safety requirements, repair, and utilization of service assets for the entire Power Systems Division.
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Develop strong working relationships with the Service Managers at all WCAT locations.
- Develop cooperative relationship with Fleet Management for the sale and purchase of field service trucks.
- Maintain proper service records on all Field Service Trucks.
- Develop a 3 and 5-year business plan supporting the acquisition, refurbish, and retirement of Field Service Trucks.
- Develop annual budget for capital expenditure, tools and service supplies for all WCAT locations.
- Develop specifications for replacement field service trucks.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a tool tracking system for company owned tools.
- Research and manage the use of outside vendors in relation to the purchase and support of service assets.
- Develop preventive maintenance program for company and employee owned tools.
- Conduct regular inventory audits for tools and service supplies.
- Research purchase options and negotiate pricing and delivery for the acquisition of new service assets.
- Maintain proper tooling repair and cost records.
- Manage the process for all periodic safety inspections of service assets.
- Maintain proper safety records for all assets requiring periodic safety inspections.
- Manage purchase orders and invoices for the purchase and repair of service assets.
- Develop and maintain standard job procedures.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; and / or three years related experience and/or training.
- Ability to independently solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables, where limited standardization exists.
- Ability to develop and apply a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form and from multiple sources.
- Basic math and reasoning skills.
- Strong communication skills to read, write, and interpret communication in written, verbal, and diagram form for receiving and conveying information.
