JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:
Undersupervision of Supervisor of BusServices,servicecrewemployee sweep, wash,fuel,emptyfare boxes and make checksof engineoil,coolant and transmissionfluidlevels,addingappropriatefluidsasnecessary on allAnnArborAreaTransportationAuthorityvehicles.Performmajorcleaningofallvehicleinteriorsurfacesandglasswhennecessary to maintain a highlevel of cleanlinessforpublicuse.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Fuel, wash,andservicevehicles(includingrevenueandstaffvehicles) on a dailybasis,recording fuel amountspumped on designatedfuelsheets.
- Check all engineoil,transmission, and coolantlevelsdaily,addingappropriatefluids as necessary and recordingamountsadded.
- Probe and emptyallfareboxesandcashboxesandrecordfare box registerreading.
- Check alltiresforwear and damageandfill if low. Recordallhub odometerorodometerreadings.
- Note vehicledefects,i.e.,bodydamage,seatdamage, broken glass,fare box malfunction,vandalismor lightsoutonthevehicle'sconditioncard in designatedlocation and report to ServiceCrew - Lead or Supervisor.Replaceusedconditioncardwith new conditioncard.
- Sweep and/orvacuumfloors,includingdriverplatforms, wash floors,cleanwindows, dust allwindow ledges,dashareas,wheelhouses, and fixturesdaily.
- Wash allvehicleexteriorsurfaces,includingwheels,daily.
- Retrieve and re-positionvehiclesfromandtoassignedparkingpositionsandrecord the position of vehiclesparkedeachnight.
- Clean orshampoobusseats as needed.
- Clean updebris in bus storageareaandservicelanesat the conclusionofeachworkshift.
- Other relatedduties, as required.

REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Graduationfromhighschool or E.D. and somelimitedexperience in the repair of motorcoachesorotherautomotiveequipment;or an equivalentcombination of trainingandexperiencethatprovides the knowledge,skill and ability may be considered.
- Demonstratedminormechanical

LICENSES/CERTIFICATION:
