JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:

Undersupervision of Supervisor of BusServices,servicecrewemployee sweep, wash,fuel,emptyfare boxes and make checksof engineoil,coolant and transmissionfluidlevels,addingappropriatefluidsasnecessary on allAnnArborAreaTransportationAuthorityvehicles.Performmajorcleaningofallvehicleinteriorsurfacesandglasswhennecessary to maintain a highlevel of cleanlinessforpublicuse.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Fuel, wash,andservicevehicles(includingrevenueandstaffvehicles) on a dailybasis,recording fuel amountspumped on designatedfuelsheets.
2. Check all engineoil,transmission, and coolantlevelsdaily,addingappropriatefluids as necessary and recordingamountsadded.
3. Probe and emptyallfareboxesandcashboxesandrecordfare box registerreading.
4. Check alltiresforwear and damageandfill if low. Recordallhub odometerorodometerreadings.
5. Note vehicledefects,i.e.,bodydamage,seatdamage, broken glass,fare box malfunction,vandalismor lightsoutonthevehicle'sconditioncard in designatedlocation and report to ServiceCrew - Lead or Supervisor.Replaceusedconditioncardwith new conditioncard.
6. Sweep and/orvacuumfloors,includingdriverplatforms, wash floors,cleanwindows, dust allwindow ledges,dashareas,wheelhouses, and fixturesdaily.
7. Wash allvehicleexteriorsurfaces,includingwheels,daily.
8. Retrieve and re-positionvehiclesfromandtoassignedparkingpositionsandrecord the position of vehiclesparkedeachnight.
9. Clean orshampoobusseats as needed.
10. Clean updebris in bus storageareaandservicelanesat the conclusionofeachworkshift.
11. Other relatedduties, as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Graduationfromhighschool or E.D. and somelimitedexperience in the repair of motorcoachesorotherautomotiveequipment;or an equivalentcombination of trainingandexperiencethatprovides the knowledge,skill and ability may be considered.
