Automotive Service Valet - Summary
Maintain a smooth flow of vehicles through the Service Drive.
Automotive Service Valet - Essential Duties - Include, but not limited to, the following:
Greets all customers entering the service area with a friendly, upbeat attitude, answers their questions, and directs them to the appropriate person or location.
Transport both customers and/or their vehicles between the dealership and their location of choice
Transport both customer owned and dealer owned vehicles to and from 3rd party partners
Assist with building maintenance when not transporting guests or their vehicles.
Controls service traffic flow and parking.
Determines if customers coming into service have an appointment. Records customer's name, VIN, tag number, mileage, and existing vehicle damage.
Assists service advisors when needed
Maintains a clean and safe service drive area, free of dirt, water, leaves, snow, etc.
Maintains a professional appearance.
Place vehicle Interior Protection in each vehicle.
Tag keys and place mirror tags in all vehicles.
Move vehicles to appointed parking area and ensure all windows are up and all vehicles are locked.
Advise management of any customer articles such as CD's, electronics, cash, etc. left inside any vehicle.
Adhere to all customer service processes.
Fill in for shuttle drivers as needed.
Bring customers' vehicles to the front of service drive when directed.
Ensure customers' vehicle is free of dirt and grease from their service visit.
Light lifting duties when needed.
Automotive Service Valet - Qualifications

Automotive Service Valet - Education and/or Experience
No prior experience or training.
Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Automotive Service Valet - Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
