Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Service Desk Analyst to deliver prompt and effective technical support for computer systems. In this role, you'll address technical inquiries and offer guidance to resolve issues.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and excel in communication, enabling them to comprehend problems and articulate solutions clearly. Additionally, they should be team-oriented and patient, capable of assisting users with varying levels of technical proficiency. This is an onsite position working the core hours of 9am – 5pm Monday through Friday. There may be occasional travel needed.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure high customer satisfaction levels with end-users by responding to issues logged within the Service Desk. Keeps end-users updated on the status of the issue until resolved.
- Identify root causes for IT related issues and take responsibility for fixing them in a timely manner.
- Maintain responsibility for the installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, warehouse computers and Zebra devices (including wearables, RF devices, ring scanners, etc.)
- Maintain end user security, prepare end user devices for new hires, maintain telephone system and manage video conferencing platform.
- Initiate escalation of issues (as appropriate), to ensure management and/or higher support tier personnel are aware of problems that are severe in nature or failing defined service level agreement (SLA) targets.
- Perform trend analyses and develop action plans for improving service timelines.
- Document procedures for known problems within the knowledgebase.
- Be part of on-call rotation within IT (2 weeks on, 4 weeks off)
Required Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of windows desktop operating systems.
- Good knowledge of computer/laptop/printer hardware installation and repair.
- Good knowledge of a variety of software applications including, but not limited to, Office 365 (including SharePoint), Microsoft Intune, Security using Okta, Mobile Device Management (MDM), etc.
- Good understanding of networking principles, practices and technologies, especially the TCP/IP protocol suite, including working knowledge of DNS and DHCP
- Knowledge of customer service best practices.
- Strong verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills. Superior telephone etiquette and an ability to deal effectively with customers, peers, and management.
- Self-motivated, eager to learn and willing to take direction.
- Ability to work within a team as well as independently.
- Able to multitask, manage details, and keep sight of overall objectives.
- Above average project management skills and the ability to organize work in an efficient manner in addition to the ability to work well under stress and time pressures
- A strong dedication to quality customer service and a working knowledge of enterprise-wide service delivery procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making ability.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and previous warehouse experience are a plus.
- CompTIA or other relevant industry certifications preferred.
