Responsibilities:
- Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, checking the orders for accuracy by using packing slips and inventory management
- Maintain the company stockroom through organizing, cleaning, and cataloging items on a regular basis
- Accuracy and details are important in this role, making sure all product identifiers are
correct on packing slips, and in our inventory management system - Processes documentation to generate a prompt credit transaction
- Performs weekly cycle counts and adjusts systems as necessary
- Develops a program to maintain tight security over the inventory
- Maintains accurate inventory records to help facilities shortage detection
- Maintains confidentiality of inventory records to authorized personnel
- Performs all daily activities necessary to maintain effective inventory management
procedures
Education & Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent, minimum of 1 - 2 years of inventory control experience, preferably in production
manufacturing and/or shipping - Ability to lift product up to 50 lbs.
- Basic PC knowledge with and understanding of Microsoft Word products
- Experience with data entry, Excel, ERP are strongly preferred
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must possess good interpersonal skills
- Must be willing and able to work as part of a team
- Must possess time management skills
- Possess good conflict resolution skills
- Detail -oriented and multitasking skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong computer skills with spreadsheet and database software etc. (Microsoft Excel)
- Maintain a driver's license
- Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack etc., is required
