As the Building Automation / HVAC Controls Service Manager, you'll lead a team of skilled technicians while managing the day-to-day operations of our service department. With your strong field experience, you'll provide technical support, ensure quality service, and maintain client satisfaction. You will be the go-to resource for troubleshooting complex HVAC and building automation issues and help drive our mission of providing reliable, energy-efficient systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of HVAC controls and building automation technicians.
- Oversee service projects, ensuring timely and efficient completion while maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting, diagnostics, and support for complex building automation and HVAC control systems.
- Coordinate and schedule service calls, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs to ensure prompt customer response.
- Collaborate with sales and project teams to support service upgrades and system enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Maintain and build strong customer relationships by providing technical solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Train and develop service technicians, promoting continuous learning and professional growth.
- Monitor service performance, reporting on key metrics such as response times, customer feedback, and project completion rates.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in HVAC control systems and building automation technology.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of field experience in building automation, HVAC controls, or related services.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing service teams or technicians.
- Strong knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) and HVAC control systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues.
- Familiarity with popular building automation platforms (e.g., Tridium, Siemens, Johnson Controls).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
