About the Job
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and coordinate activities of Technicians engaged in Inspection, Repair, Preventative Maintenance, and Breakdown Repair of Plant Material Handling Systems by performing the following duties:
- Maintain and enhance relationships with customers through regular contact.
- Actively pursue new customers.
- Schedule technicians to efficiently complete Inspections and Repairs while monitoring time to minimize non-billable overtime.
- Establish and adjust work procedures to meet needs.
- Ensure all paperwork is accurate and complete.
- Analyze and resolve problems; or assist associates in resolving problems.
- Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve goals.
- Interpret and enforce company policies and safety regulations.
- Conduct accident investigations including reports and meetings.
- Maintain records of Customer’s inspection due dates and follow up.
- Recommend measures to improve or upgrade services to customers.
- Provide interpretation of OSHA/ASME standards as necessary.
- Prepare quotes for inspections and maintenance projects.
- Follow up on quotes to secure Purchase Orders.
- Work with technicians in the performance of inspections and maintenance.
- Provide training and supervision of ESI technicians.
- Review time sheets, insuring they are complete, sign and Fax to Duncan.
- Work with associates in the development of information required for quoting.
- Provide information to associates to enable customer invoicing on a timely basis.
- Provide necessary information to associates for ordering parts and product.
- Maintain facilities, vehicles, equipment, materials, and grounds to include their security.
- Conduct performance evaluations of employees.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Candidate must have a good working knowledge of cranes and crane systems, and the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating and maintenance manuals. In addition, the ability to communicate verbally and through written reports and correspondence to respond to employee and customer questions. Candidate must be a good leader of people and a good time manager. Some basic computer skills are necessary.
