About the Job
The primary purpose of the Seafood/Meat Service clerk is to provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with seafood/meat selections including cutting, cleaning, and preparing items to customers' specifications. A Seafood/Meat Clerk provides a high level of prompt and friendly customer service, assists customers with questions and special orders, and needs, while maintaining a positive, customer-focused work environment.

- Use selling skills and merchandising programs to enhance customer interaction and achieve maximum sales.
- Provides polite friendly greetings and interacts with all customers as they approach the department.
- Prepares knife-ready products for sale (slice, trim, wrap, weigh, and price) according to our standards.
- Assists in product receiving, inventory, and storage.
- Stocks and rotates frozen items, prepared meats, and fresh meat/seafood in the sales area.
- Maintains safety and sanitation standards in all areas that come in contact with meat/seafood and in the prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
- Maintains high quality and freshness with products available for sale. Ensures all products are in date.
- Communicates customer's requests/concerns to management.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
