Our location in Lake Forest, IL currently has an opportunity for a Service Program Manager. The Service Program Manager is responsible for managing multiple of high complexity or program of high complexity through complete project lifecycle involving global cross functional teams focusing on deliver of new and existing products. Ensures completion within time and budget and complying with quality management requirements.
The Opportunity
- Lead high complexity process improvement and organizational transformation projects.
- Accountable for total project scope; completion within budget constraints and scheduled completion date. Independently drives decisions for elevations and develops high complexity plans.
- Actively conducts program risk assessments and critical path analyses to ensure team deliverables are being appropriately tracked and met.
- Identifies and escalates program issues to ensure effective resolution in a timely manner.
- Lead cross-functional teams or project managers to execute projects with problem solving methodology.
- Accountable to provide direction to drive cross-functional teams to meet milestones and deliverables established in project planning and agreed upon with senior leadership.
- Is authorized/empowered to set alternate direction with responsibility to keep stakeholders informed/updated.
- Prepare and present written and oral reports and other presentations to internal and external audiences, including senior management.
- Adjusts presentation style and content to suit the audience.
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness & compliance to the BU quality system.
- Ensure project scope and success criteria are clearly established; develop and manage multiple complex project plans to meet deliverables agreed upon with Senior Leadership. Identify key milestones for project status reporting.
- Ability to develop and drive strategic business initiatives and provides leadership and guidance to other project managers.
- Accountable for schedule management, and project documentation including design history files in accordance with internal design control requirements & stage gate review or similar.
- Lead multiple cross-functional teams in execution of program strategies by identifying tasks, creating and tracking program schedules.
- Drive cross-functional teams to meet milestones and deliverables established in project planning and agreed upon with senior and executive leadership.
- Prepare and present program progress reports to keep management and team informed.
- Prepare and present written and oral reports and other presentations to internal and cross-functional audiences, including senior and executive management.
- Perform/Lead project risk assessment & propose & manage appropriate mitigations.
- Identify problems, provides guidance to team for resolution, elevates as appropriate and manages issue resolution.
- Accountable for resource and budget management of multiple projects or programs
- Tracks and presents budget and/or resource variances and recommends contingency options.
- Negotiates resources, and budget.
- Creates a work environment that supports team effectiveness. Provides feedback & mentoring to team members on performance.
- Assure that projects will effectively integrate with existing programs and strategies so that long and short-term business goals are attained.
- Leads the decision-making process by soliciting the cooperation of a diverse group of disciplines and functions in a tactful and persuasive manner. Reaches out to cross functional leadership to resolve or escalate issues as needed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum of 10 years project management and/or related experience including a leadership or management roles
Preferred Qualifications
- Science/Engineering or Equivalent background is preferred.
- Knowledge of new product development process principles and experience working in stage gate processes.
- Basic working knowledge of project management tools and processes, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Microsoft Office Suite (i.e.- Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
- Data analysis
- Lean Six Sigma, Project Management Certification (PMP) is desirable.

The base pay for this position is $125,300.00 – $250,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
