Service and Support Administrative Assistant & HR Coordinator - Fayette County Board of Developmental Disabilities

Under the general supervision of the Director of Service and Support Administration and the Human Resources Director, this position is responsible for administrative support for the HR, SSA Director and seven SSA staff members. This is a full-time employment opportunity. Scheduled hours are Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4 PM, 40 hours per week.

The position includes operating office equipment and maintaining needed equipment and supplies, producing forms and brochures, preparing reports, and proofreading. Greeting the public in person and on the telephone and effectively communicated information, preparing information for distribution, including electronically and mailings. Responding to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests. Notarizing documents as needed for the agency.

The position includes establishing and maintaining effective and efficient written/electronic filing systems, including record-keeping methods for enrollee and staff files, destroying and maintaining records in accordance with FCBDD's records retention schedule. Assisting with intake applications, maintaining state and local information systems, staff development in-services, provider support, accreditation/reviews etc.

The position is exposed to all human resources tasks throughout the HR department. Examples include Posting job ads, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews and following up with candidates. Assisting with tasks associated with onboarding and offboarding staff. Serving as the Rapback, ARCS and benefit administration and following up with HR forms. Preparing purchase order requisitions for the SSA and HR Department. Tracking trainings, certifications and scheduling trainings for the agency.

A bachelor's degree in a related field and (3) years' related experience is preferred. You must possess or be willing to obtain and maintain certification as a Notary Public in Ohio.

Individual must be able to pass criminal background checks as required by the Ohio Revise Code; have a valid Ohio driver's license, current motor vehicle insurance with a clean driving record. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical (including a TB screening) and drug screen. The FCBDD is a drug-free workplace which prohibits the use of marijuana (both recreational marijuana and medical cannabis). This position has a 180-day probationary period following first day full time employment. FCBDD is an EOE employer. The FCBDD is not authorized to hire immediate family members of current Board members or immediate family members of County Commissioners.
