Service Technician - Hot Side Commercial Cooking Equipment - Austin market
United Service Technologies, a national industry leader, is currently hiring in Texas. We are apart of the Tech24 family of service companies comprising over 1200 field service technicians, we cater to thousands of locations across the U.S. Our clientele mainly includes grocery chains, restaurants, and convenience stores, for which we provide service and repair for commercial cooking appliances.
Primary Duties:
- Service existing accounts, complete work orders, and manage daily travel schedule with manager and dispatcher.
- Investigate service-related complaints, conduct equipment tests, and resolve issues.
- Establish service by studying system requirements, ordering and gathering components and parts, completing installations, and performing acceptance tests.
- Maintain customer rapport by identifying solutions, suggesting improved methods and techniques, and recommending system improvements.
- Keep personal equipment functional by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
- Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records within our service software.
- Maintain customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
Key Qualifications:
- Strong skills in Electronics Troubleshooting, Analyzing Information, Judgement, and Equipment Maintenance.
- Ability to manage Client Relationships, maintain Quality Focus, and be Results Driven.
- Proficient in Reporting Skills, Supply Management, and informing others.
- Must adhere to working safely at all times.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Possess excellent customer service skills and an ability to diagnose and solve problems from non-technical descriptions.
- Knowledge of using a multimeter and hand tools is a must.
- A clean driving record is required.

Work Schedule:
- An average of 10 hours of overtime work per week.
- On-call duty one or two weekends a month, with the ability to reach customer's location within 4 hours.
- Flexibility to travel one or two weeks a year for manufacturer training (if available).
