About the Job
We are seeking a qualified ServiceNow Administrator to join our team at the Department of Energy, National Energy Technology Lab (NETL).
Description:
• Manage and administer the ServiceNow platform, including user accounts, access controls, and system upgrades.
• Configure and maintain incident and request management processes within ServiceNow, ensuring smooth operations.
• Implement and maintain change management processes, workflows, and required adjustments as need.
• Create and maintain service catalogs, items, and request workflows to enable efficient service delivery.
• Develop and maintain scripts, business rules, and customizations to meet organizational requirements.
• Integrate ServiceNow with other systems and applications, such as email, monitoring tools, and databases as needed.
• Provide training to users and assist with resolving issues related to the ServiceNow platform.
• Create and maintain reports and dashboards to monitor system performance and key metrics.
• Ensure the platform's security and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations and processes.
• Work under little supervision on day-to-day basis.
• Participate in special projects as required.
Requirements:
• Due to federal requirements candidates will need to pass a government issued background check.
• Candidates must be able to report on-site to Pittsburg, PA daily.
• Three (3)+ years of experience with ServiceNow platform administration and configuration.
• Understanding of IT service management (ITSM) principles and best practices.
• A background in IT with ITIL is preferred.
• Familiarity with JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting languages.
• Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues and challenges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for user support and training.
• Experience with project management and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Familiar with the systems development life cycle, including requirements definition, solution design, development, unit testing, user-acceptance testing, validation, and production support
Preferred
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
