The anticipated salary range for this role is between $103,000.00 and $206,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
Role Description
We are seeking a talented and motivated ServiceNow Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing tailored ServiceNow solutions to meet our business requirements. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of ServiceNow Integrations, core modules, ITIL processes, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams & group companies.
Role Objectives
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and general development practices
• Service now Implementation and Integration developer
• Core modules (Incident, Discovery, Problem, Knowledge, Change, ESC, CMS, IRM, Vulnerability Management etc.)
• Good Communication and presentation skills
• Responsible for all scripting changes including Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, and U.I. Actions, U.I. Macro, U.I. Pages, Sites. Create a consistent and easy to read formats for all scripts that includes comments explaining the functionality. Server-side scripts utilizing the most efficient Glide Record methods to reduce overall processing time.
• Development of Service Now additional features and enhancement to Core Modules, Incident, Change, Service Catalog, Demand, Project Portfolio management, Content Management System, and applications.
• Responsible for Integrations with 3rd party tools, applications, and systems
• Work extensively on external integrations using Direct Web services over SOAP and REST
• Creation of design documents, test cases & Unit testing
• Defect fixing & accommodate small changes in case of minor enhancement.
• Create, Develop, and maintain, custom build apps of different applications and modules within ServiceNow.
• Java Scripting knowledge and hands on experience with programming principles
• Hands-on with ITIL Process implementation.
• Hands-on technical delivery including required documentation of cost-effective Service-now solutions, Ability to create and Modify Workflows.
• Hands-on design, development, and deployment experience with the Service-now platform.
• Good at creating required information for Reporting and Dashboards
• Knowledge of ITIL methodologies and processes.
• Experience with ServiceNow IT Service Management, ServiceNow CMDB, ServiceNow Discovery, ServiceNow Event Management, ServiceNow ITAM, ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management, ServiceNow Software Asset Management and ServiceNow Security Operations.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Qualifications and Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a Sr. ServiceNow developer.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes.
- Proficient in JavaScript HTML and ServiceNow development best practices.
- Experience with ServiceNow IT Service Management, ServiceNow CMDB, ServiceNow Discovery, ServiceNow Event Management, ServiceNow SPM and ServiceNow Security Operations.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification is a plus.
