About the Job
LEIDIT is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer and Team Lead with a minimum of ten (7) years of overall IT experience to be a part of a Federal IT team supporting our clients in their business transformation journey using ServiceNow. You will join a growing team where you can leverage your expertise in ServiceNow to deliver on existing engagements and to engage with other skilled ServiceNow colleagues to advance our corporate ServiceNow expertise. As a technical leader, you will establish yourself as a Subject Matter Expert and liaison among clients (current and future), business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders, and serve as lead and mentor for team members.
The ServiceNow Senior Developer / Team Lead will provide technical expertise on a range of ServiceNow implementations including ITSM, APM, PPM, ITOM, CSM, IRM, and emerging ServiceNow technologies. You will be working with project teams to understand our clients business transformation objectives and translate client needs into specific technical requirements, and provide technical support and oversight to other team members. This is a fully remote position and we are seeking someone based in the EST timezone.
Duties and Responsibilities
- This role requires one to serve as the technical lead and support several engagements at any given time, as well as supporting business development efforts.
- Attend senior management-level and stakeholders meetings to obtain business requirements, offer solutions, and serve as expert on ServiceNow tool capabilities.
- Provide and ensure adherence to Leidit development standards, including automated testing, quality assurance and agile development practices
- Lead Technical aspects of ServiceNow implementations projects and provide advanced technical support in ServiceNow tool configuration and custom development - Design, Development and Implementation of ServiceNow customization including, but not limited to: core setup, workflow administration, reporting, data imports, custom scripting, and third party software integrations.
- Lead Agile ceremonies including scrum meetings, sprint planning, retrospective, and overall release planning
- Support business capture efforts across multiple federal markets by serving as the ServiceNow SME and contributing to proposals/responses, marketing materials, case studies, and participating in presentations and/or challenges.
- Work with other Leidit Engineers and software developers to grow and maintain our innovation labs to support building store applications and other innovative products and solutions for our clients
- Serve as a lead and mentor for team members supporting ServiceNow projects and looking to grow their ServiceNow skills; and support recruiting team when interviewing ServiceNow resources
Education and Experience
- 7 years of overall IT experience with at least 3 years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer and/or ServiceNow Team Lead
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence and consult (providing options with pros, cons and risks) around all key technical decisions
- Hold ServiceNow certifications including Certified System Administrator and Certified Application Developer (preferred)
- Ability to successfully fulfill Public Trust suitability requirements ( U.S. Secret level clearance preferred)
- Must be based in the EST timezone
- Ability to demonstrate experience and knowledge in the following skills:
- Extensive knowledge of JavaScript
- Familiarity with UI, SQL, HTML and CSS
- Knowledge of XML and structural programming concepts
- Experience using the ServiceNow platform
- Scripting options and API
- GlideRecord and GlideSystem
- GlideForm and GlideUser
- GlideAjax
- Building a custom app
- Advanced problem-solving ability
