Job Description:
Responsible for control system IO checks, control system functionality and control system checkouts during pre-commissioning and commissioning of Water Treatment plant. Supporting role during operations and through the warranty process will be evaluated upon completion of commissioning.
Essential Responsibilities:
Construction liaison between design engineering and commissioning team during the pre-commissioning and commissioning of Water Treatment Plants.
Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation and maintenance (recovery) during the commissioning and operations of the Water Treatment plant.
Manage activities of outside vendors and suppliers, assuring package control systems met project specifications and performance requirements.
Develop Standard Operating Procedures, Checkout Sheets to document and monitor equipment checkout process, installation and/or initial operations.
Develop and execute installation, assembly and storage plans for Control Panels and other Control System components.
Perform Control System inspections of electromechanical equipment/rotating equipment with Clients and client-designated representatives.
Maintain strong safety mindset to assure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within Veolia safety standards
Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and a reference for future outages
Figure out alignment issues and plumb adjustment figures. Plane Geometry, chemistry formulas.
Lead and/or assist customers with Electrical and/or Instrumentation requirements (space, labor requirements, tools, disposal of test water, etc..) to support commissioning activities, operational/startup spares and Operating and Maintenance Practices.
Participated in Customer Factory Acceptance Tests and related Control Systems reviews.
Perform on-site programming for Water Treatment Control Systems and assists on electrical installation and troubleshooting.
Work closely with Automation and E&I Leaders regarding project execution and continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
College Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Water Treatment field or 10 years of experience in Control System Development and/or Commissioning.
Strong focus on customer relationships (both external and internal customers). Understands balance between customer and VEOLIA teams.
Knowledge of and/or demonstrated ability to learn equipment and process startup related to VEOLIA WTS products and systems including but not limited to Reverse Osmosis, Clarifiers, Thickeners, Pressure Filters, etc..
Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely with project teams.
Possess basic water treatment chemistry knowledge and communicate that information to others.
Electrical experience and know-how (hands on, reading and interpreting drawings, etc), particularly with electrical panels, junction box, cabling and grounding practices, etc..
Familiarity with setup, installation, configuration, calibration and/or maintenance of instrumentation used in water treatment processes.
Rockwell Automation systems including but not limited to Smart MCC, VFD, ControlLogix PLC Platform, Factory Talk SE, etc..
Strong oral and written communication skills
Valid driver's license.
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
Experience in Commissioning, Construction or Services.
Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Equivalent from an accredited University or College.
Oil and Gas experience
Electrical experience and know-how (hands on, reading and interpreting drawings, etc.), particularly with electrical panels and water treatment equipment.
Ability to plan multiple priorities and focus on the most important ones.
Ability to adapt quickly to new problems, clients, and situations.
Training in Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures preferred.
