Essential duties of this classification are primarily performed in a dynamic manufacturing environment that may include frequent interruptions and a high level of contact with staff, other members of management, customers, vendors, and off-site employees/locations.
- Calibrate, troubleshoot, upgrade & repair Uson equipment per procedures and work instructions.
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001-2015 and all quality policies and procedures as applicable.
- Log, troubleshoot, document and address customer issues to closure in a timely manner.
- Prepare and update quotations for service.
- Complete required documentation and maintain record keeping on a daily basis (eg: timesheets, service reports, calibration documentation, checklists, CRM & MRP systems, parts used etc).
- Work with cross functional teams to support continuous improvement efforts that impact safety, quality, costs, revenue, delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Comply with Environment Health and Safety (EHS) regulations, quality, and compliance policies.
- Maintain tools, workspace clean and well organized to eliminate waste, and maximize efficiency.
- Ensure appropriate instruments and tools are calibrated, in working order and used correctly.
- Meet or exceed individual goals, internal and external KPI's.
- Perform other duties as assigned and required per business needs.
Requirements:
- Minimum High school education, Vocational Training/Trade School or Degree Mechanical or Electronics /Electrical Engineering Technology preferred.
- 2 or more years of work experience in building or servicing or troubleshooting Mechanical, Pneumatics, Electrical/Electronic components.
- PLC / controls systems knowledge preferred but not required.
- Working knowledge of CRM, MRP systems and MS Office suite.
- Ability to prioritize and manage tasks.
- Ability to proactively anticipate, identify and solve problems in communication with the internal and external customers.
- Good oral and written skills.
- Ability to work with team members but also able to direct own work.
- Detailed oriented with the ability and drive to follow up on outstanding tasks.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to hear and verbally exchange ideas and information with the public, staff and others on the phone and in the office.
- This position will frequently be required to sit, stand, and walk.
- This position may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Use finger dexterity to operate a computer and other office equipment and hand strength to grasp files and other objects.
- May require the ability to climb stairs, to kneel and/or crouch to retrieve equipment and other items.
Work Environment & Travel:
Essential duties of this classification are primarily performed in a dynamic manufacturing environment that may include frequent interruptions and a high level of contact with staff, other members of management, customers, vendors, and off-site employees/locations.
- Able to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays, per business needs
- 5-10% travel, may require travel to customer sites per business needs or part of training curriculum.
