Sewing Machine Operator - TAD PGS, Inc.

We have an outstanding career opportunity for aSewing Machine Operatorto join a leading Company located inLos Alamitos, CA.





Salary: $50,731.20 annually





This position will be responsible for Sewing operations within the composite products manufacturing. This is a stand-alone position, Sewing Machine Operator.





Responsibilities :



+ Will perform heavy-duty sewing


+ Will perform normal setups and operation of all equipment and maintain the machine in good working order


+ Will identify part defects and make proper corrections


+ Will cut and develop the pattern per the blueprint and production planning specifications


+ Work with the M.E. to develop new processes for new products


+ Record all traceability information of material used and log on shop travelers


+ Responsible for assisting the department in the development of techniques to increase productivity, quality, and throughput of products and to share job knowledge in the department


+ Will maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly, FOD-free fashion and adhere to all Safety standards

Basic Hiring Criteria :



+ High School Diploma or equivalent required


+ Previous manufacturing experience may be substituted for education requirement


+ Minimum one (1) year of experience with commercial sewing machines (all types)


+ Must be able to lift up to 35lbs unassisted


+ Employees must bid into these classifications before progression is allowed to higher levels






Desired Qualifications :



+ Ability to perform quality work in a safe and efficient manner


+ Ability to interpret blueprints, work orders, and production planning documents


+ Ability to use standard manufacturing measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and scales


+ Must be capable of working with tight tolerances such as + or - .001”


+ Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
