SharePoint Administrator at TEKsystems

Description:

The Enterprise SharePoint Administrator is responsible for the research, development, support, and management of the on-premises Enterprise SharePoint Farm server infrastructure and the Enterprise O365 SharePoint online environment. This role is part of the Collaboration Services team and includes a standby rotation providing 24x7x365 support for various applications.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Technical Support and Management:

1. Research, install, test, implement, and troubleshoot Enterprise SharePoint 2016, O365 SharePoint Online, and Hybrid SharePoint environments.
2. Install, configure, and administer third-party tools such as Bluebeam, DocAve, Control Point, Sharegate, Nintex, Plumsail, and Muhimbi.
3. Maintain systems and infrastructure to support these environments, ensuring stability and resolving issues.
4. Perform tasks necessary for maintaining the SharePoint Farm, including configuring App Catalog, App Management, Workflow Farm, Office Web App (OWA) Farm, and more.
5. Lead and participate in the development and implementation of IT management best practices.
6. Apply Windows patches and SharePoint updates to maintain server stability and security.
7. Monitor SQL Cluster performance.
8. Write PowerShell scripts for reporting and task automation.
9. Monitor and report on SharePoint system performance.
10. Manage and audit security for SharePoint farm, web applications, sites, and sub-sites.
11. Generate monthly billing and audit reports.
12. Lead Governance and Customer Advisory Group meetings.
13. Keep SharePoint configuration and architecture documents updated.
14. Research software and hardware enhancements to improve SharePoint performance.

B. Shared Infrastructure Consulting:

1. Lead meetings to understand requirements related to enterprise shared IT infrastructure.
2. Evaluate and recommend solutions for data communication needs.
3. Provide technical analysis and advice for planning changes to enterprise shared IT infrastructure.
4. Develop detailed technical designs for service requests.
5. Participate in enterprise task forces or committees.
6. Facilitate meetings to understand disaster recovery requirements and recommend solutions.

C. Customer Service and Teamwork:

1. Deliver high-quality customer service and assist team members in doing the same.
2. Work cooperatively in a team environment to meet service expectations.
3. Provide clear written and verbal communication to customers and staff.
4. Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and customers.

D. Project Participation:

1. Develop and use project management policies, procedures, and practices.
2. Lead project teams to follow enterprise information portfolio management practices.
3. Coordinate project support tasks with other staff.
4. Lead project teams under the direction of a project manager.
5. Work with security to develop and implement sound security practices and policies.

E. IT Service Management:

1. Participate in the development and implementation of IT service management best practices.
2. Seek input from agency partners and encourage cooperation in enterprise objectives.
3. Oversee and lead disaster recovery documentation and testing.
4. Follow all published IT management policies and best practices.

F. Professional Development:

1. Stay updated on trends in infrastructure hardware, software, and related technologies.
2. Attend training courses, conferences, and seminars.
3. Read technical publications to maintain a high level of technical knowledge.
4. Lead activities in professional and technical associations.
5. Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
