Ballard Spahr, a renowned national law firm with over 500 lawyers across 15 offices in the United States, invites you to be a part of our innovative journey to join our Custom Software Engineering Team as a SharePoint Developer. Our Team is committed to revolutionizing the practice of law and client service through cutting-edge technology. Our dedication to innovation has been recognized by The Legal Intelligencer, The Financial Times, BTI Consulting Group, and the National Law Journal. As a SharePoint Developer you will serve as the firm's SharePoint specialist; demonstrating proficiency in technologies, including coding custom webparts, creating site templates, managing site provisioning, and ensuring seamless integration with other systems. This is a temporary remote work arrangement with the potential to transition to a permanent position. Must be flexible to be on-site periodically as needed in the Philadelphia office.
Our SharePoint Developer will:
The selected individual will be self-motivated with a passion for continuous learning and problem solving, have an exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of initiative. Solid communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimum supervision on moderately complex tasks, set priorities and manage multiple deadlines are essential. Must be organized with the focus to sustain a high level of quality and consistency at all times, have a passion for driving change and a desire to improve upon delivery processes and standards.
Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years of hands-on work experience, in web-based application development, administration, and maintenance. Experience in a legal environment is preferred.

- Develop, enhance, and support SharePoint-based technology solutions.
- Create and improve custom SharePoint web parts and templates.
- Manage SharePoint Online environment and serve as the firm's main SharePoint specialist.

Additional Required Experience:
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SharePoint development, including SharePoint Framework (SPFx), PnP libraries.
- Tools & Platforms: Knowledge of Azure services, Office365, Microsoft Power Platform, and open-source tools like Gulp, Node, NPM.
- Web Technologies: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, ReactJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, SDLC concepts, TDD, and DevOps.
- Responsive Design: Experience with responsive design techniques and libraries.
- Debugging: Strong skills in debugging and troubleshooting applications.
- Documentation: Technical writing and documentation proficiency in web-based application development, administration, and maintenance.
- Must be able to work beyond the standard scheduled hours, as needed. Previous experience working in a law firm or legal environment preferred.
