We are seeking a highly motivated Programmatic Operations Manager to join our dynamic and entrepreneurial programmatic team. In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Programmatic, Engineering, and Ad Operations teams to operate and optimize our programmatic monetization stack. The Programmatic Operations Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day programmatic tasks such as inventory management, Private Marketplace deal set up and other programmatic related tasks with our SSP and adtech partners. This role also involves analyzing programmatic supply and demand trends to optimize and inform strategies. As a highly visible liaison with SSP and programmatic vendors, you will also interact with internal sales and agency trade desks. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, a creative thinker, and can effectively prioritize tasks based on impact.
Responsibilities:
- Business Development and Vendor Management:
- Assist in the development and management of programmatic vendors such as SSPs, DSPs, DMPs, trade desks, and other inventory/programmatic vendors.
- PMP Deal Management:
- Support PMP deal setup, optimization, and troubleshooting internally and with external DSPs and agency trading desks.
- Data Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze data sets to ensure optimal performance and identify any irregularities.
- Identify and suggest optimization strategies to increase Open Market and Private Market profits
- Reporting and Dashboards:
- Work with internal teams to build programmatic data dashboards and reporting tools using Excel and Looker.
- Ad Operations Management:
- Manage programmatic ad operations within Google Ad Manager (GAM) and various SSPs.
- Internal Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Programmatic Sales, Publisher Operations, BI, and Engineering teams on daily operations and projects.
- Onboarding and Vetting:
- Assist the Director of Programmatic in the vetting and onboarding of new demand partners.
Skills and Background:
- Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience working within programmatic operations roles.
- Strong understanding of the programmatic ecosystem from publisher and agency perspective.
- Experience with DSP and/or SSP platforms is required.
- Buy-side programmatic trading experience or supply-side publisher yield and operations experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with platforms such as GAM, Magnite (SSP/Demand Manager), APS (TAM/CxM), Xandr, Index, and Pubmatic is strongly preferred.
- Analytical Skills:
- Excellent analytical skills, particularly in handling large data sets using Excel and various data analytics platforms in order to identify revenue and yield opportunities
- Technical Skills:
- Strong technical skills with a deep understanding of ad-tech and previous relevant experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot programmatic deal set-ups
- Ability to identify issues and opportunities and develop effective plans of action.
- Project Management:
- Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Typical wage range: $90k - $100k + Bonus
Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits.
