Job Summary and Mission

This position contributes to the success of Earthbar by providing an exceptional customer service experience to all customers. Our Shift Lead strives to make a positive impact on the team, and champions others to follow their lead. You are the go to shift leader in the absence of the Assistant General Manager and General Manager, representing the Earthbar brand with excellence. As the Shift Lead, you empower the lives of our customers by providing products that are on the forefront of nutrition and innovation. Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Acting manager of the store in the absence of Assistant General Manager, and General Manager; leading and managing shifts.Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Earthbar.
• Maintains a calm demeanor, especially during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to Earthbar standard
• Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers cues.
• Delivers exceptional customer service to all customers; responds to customer needs in a timely manner.
• Follows Earthbar operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling, and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all members during each shift.
• Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that other team members can locate products easily.
• Provides quality beverages consistently by adhering to all recipes.
• Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Maintains regular and punctual attendance

Qualifications:

• Ability to move and or lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to quickly learn new procedures, processes, and product knowledge
• 1-2 years of experience in food/beverage environments making smoothies, and/or specialty beverages, or experience in retail and hospitality
• Barista, Nutrition, and Culinary education experience a plus!
• Must have (or obtain) a California Food Handlers License (i.e., ServSafe) prior to employment

Shifts:

• Part-time/Full-time
• Hours vary Monday-Sunday, early morning to evening shifts
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, with or without reasonable accommodation
