Spark Academy is a co-ed, residential treatment program for adolescents specializing in neurodiversity. The students in Spark Academy struggle with challenges from high-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder and other similar diagnoses.
Spark Academy is seeking dynamic and passionate life coaches to join our team! As a life coach at Spark Academy, you'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of teenagers, helping them discover their passions and reach their full potential. You'll work with them one-on-one, in small groups, and participate side-by-side in activities to help them develop life skills, set and achieve goals, and build confidence and resilience.

we are currently looking for a Team Lead on:- Team 1: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 7 AM - 3 PM, while also working one Sunday per month, rotating every four weeks, 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM.
- Team 2: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 2:30 PM - 10:15 Pm while also working one Sunday per month, rotating every four weeks, 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM.
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to successfully coach and mentor adolescents.
- Assertiveness to learn and continually enhance knowledge and understanding of neurodiversity and mental health.
- Good energy and ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Engaging and empathetic character, with a balance of tenacity and determination.
- Good problem-solving, decisiveness, and teamwork skills.
- Proficient in communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Aptitude of adolescent development.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully coach and mentor adolescents.
- Basic understanding and competency of neurodiversity and other mental health diagnoses. Must also show assertiveness to improve knowledge and competency for efficient job performance.
- Management and leadership skills - using passion and vision to teach and steward both students and employees.
- Excellence in innovation and executing plans, knowing how to be attuned to the people and business you serve to weave culture and results.
- Good energy, with ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Engaging and empathetic character, with the balance of tenacity and determination.
- Proficient in communication and interpersonal-relationship skills.
- Good computer knowledge and professional writing skills.
- Develop close, personal, and emotionally supportive relationships with the students on your home, coaching them in their treatment progression.
- Be a leader and an example to reliably intercede and successfully mediate any conflicts at hand, or any time a student needs further support and guidance.
- Implement clinical treatment plans as outlined by the Treatment Team, and assure team members also understand expectations.
- Participate in a wide variety of activities with the students, encouraging and supporting them to develop the skills associated with the tasks (i.e., sports, bike riding, rock climbing, hiking, swimming, leisure activities and hobbies, etc.).
- Serve as an assistant to the Home Manager in leadership duties. This includes, but is not limited to, training Coaches on your team, handling operational components of assigned shift, assuring Spark Academy program components are consistent, and that treatment care objectives are applied in a true, high-quality manner.
- Consistently touch base with team members, for performance tracking and development, reporting any necessary updates to the Home Manager.
- Attend weekly Treatment Team meetings, coming prepared to report on the therapeutic progression of the students. Work collaboratively with clinical Therapists and other Treatment Team members to develop strategic goals and objectives for each student.
