Shift Lead
As a Shift Lead, you will be supported with the tools and training needed to succeed in our dynamic organization. The Shift Lead is responsible for restaurant operations during assigned shifts when management is not present. Reporting to the General Manager, the Shift Lead is responsible for the supervision of approximately 5 - 20 crew members and proper execution of restaurant operations on a shift. This position must have a strong commitment to guest satisfaction and the ability to lead team members to deliver on the Quality, Service and Cleanliness standards.
Job Responsibilities
Ability to prepare and interpret business reports and schedules, analyze data and develop solutions to ensure operating goals are achieved
- Assists Restaurant Management by overseeing assigned shifts, monitors brand standards execution and adherence, and directs hourly staff to achieve guest service standards in a clean and pleasant environment
- Trains and develops Team Members on brand standards, operating policies and procedures, and other guest focused programs/activities to meet or exceed guest service standards
- Supports the Restaurant Management to attract, hire, onboard, and retain competitive Team Members’ talents to meet staffing requirements
- Brings employee relations issues, deviations from brand standards, and other guest issues to the attention of the General Manager and recommends and participates in the execution of corrective action
- Ensures proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, guests and company assets
- Enforces sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas
- Works to create and maintain an enjoyable and respectful environment for our guests and employees
- Addresses and resolves customer complaints/requests promptly in a courteous manner
- Follows management cash handling, inventory and other operational procedures as outlined in Burger King’s brand standards
- Adheres to all state, county and/or municipal regulations pertaining to health risk concerns related to food handling
Qualifications
- Required to have strong customer service and communication skills
- Requires you to have a High School diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation and a flexible schedule
- Stand for up to 8 hours during a shift and be able to lift 30 to 50 pounds
- Requires you to use motion that entails pushing, pulling, stretching and continuous bilateral use of fingers and wrists
